Janet E. Griffie, age 78, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 16, 2026. She was born on May 12, 1947, in Monticello, Kentucky to the late Huey and Gladys (Crabtree) Eller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Griffie and 10 brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Alvin Griffie; son, Stephen Griffie (Kelly); grandchildren, Mikey and Mikayla; great-grandson, Griffin and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
