Janice Louise Murray

Mrs. Janice Louise Murray, age 82, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Mrs. Murray was born in Nelson County, KY on August 27, 1937 to the late Elmer and Nancy Coomes. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic church and she retired from Bullitt County Bank.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her husband, Billy G. Murray; brothers, Elmer and Ernie Coomes; sisters, Carolyn Ballard, Tina Ballard, Pat Wise and Mary A. Hagan.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving friend, Elwood Summers; her children, Tammy Fields (Randall), Billy Hobbs (Arlana), Brad Murray (Cyndy) and Joe Lock; grandchildren, Jannah (Todd), Joshua (Ariel), Troy (Allison), Kaitlyn (Daniel), Evan, Carson, Cydney (Luke) and Chelsea (Cori); great-grandchildren, Chloe, Micah, Bennett, Weslee, Dylan, Wyatt and Elliott; siblings, Valice Coomes, Vivian Schepker, Durinda Cowen and Pamela Wright and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
