Janis E. Comer

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Wesley Manor Home in Louisville, Kentucky at the age of 89. Janis was a long-time member of Davidson United Methodist Church in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and sharing meals together. Janis volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program and was an avid runner/ walker.

Janis leaves to cherish her memory, her loving son, Bill (Mary); daughter, Debbie (John); her grandchildren, Scott, Chad, Misty, Brad, Chris and Lauren; her great-grandchildren, Skylar, Devan, Caden, Aniston, Braylon, Benjamin and Teagan. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Vaughn. Janis is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Owen R. Comer; her daughter, Shirley Reichle; her granddaughter, Theresa Gibbs and grandsons, Donald Wayne Coy and Donnie Lee Reichle.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
