Jeffrey Scott Smith

Jeff was born in Louisville, KY on July 8, 1963 to the late Sharon J. Tracey and Lewis “Sonny” Smith. He was a truck driver with National Distributor Leasing for 18 years and served in the United States Navy for 12 years, as a machinist’s mate, traveling all over the world. He is a member of the Iron Horsemen Motorcycle Club, former employee at UPS and a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge #158 F&AM. He was a fun loving, cherished husband, devoted father, brother, uncle and friend.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Alma Heeren; children, Millicent Sunny Reh Heeren, Sherlock Clint Heeren and Ted Rice; brother, Mike Smith; niece, Jessica Lynn Rickert; nephew, Joshua Michael Smith; former wife, Darlene Green and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of his service at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
