Jerimy Lindsey

Mr. Jerimy L. Lindsey, age 40, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Jerimy was born in Hazel Crest, Illinois, on August 19, 1985, to Robert Pierre Downs and Debra Renee Hobson. Jerimy was a hardworking man and a great provider. A Loving and devoted husband, dad, pop pop, son, brother, and friend. He was a die-hard University of Kentucky Fan, loved sports like football and basketball. Jerimy’s smile lit up any room he walked into, and it was said he had a very big heart and was a very gentle soul. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his birth father Maurice Lynell Lindsey, sister Latrice Lindsey, Grandmother, Debra Ann Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Desiree Younghoo, Mother Debra Hobson, Dad Robert Downs, brother Brandon Hobson, Mother Stephanie Lee, sisters Shelby Lee, Shalaya Lee, Natasha Yancy, Dovia Downs, nephews Elyace Lee, Justin Neely, niece Synderealla Lee-Curtis, children Cohen Lindsey, Sierra Nelson, Jaylee Younghoo, Trenton Younghoo, Aonna Younghoo, Darion Whitehead, grandchildren Kaori Nelson, Calayah Kimble, Kalani Mack, Mother-In-Law and Father-In-Law Sherry and Tom Keeling, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. The family request that in Lieu of flowers that any donations be made to the funeral home or to the family on Jerimy’s behalf for funeral cost.
