Jimmie Dee Rubarts

Mr. Jimmie Dee Rubarts, age 85, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father on July 1, 2024. Mr. Rubarts was born on July 24, 1938, in Casey County, KY to the late Noble Rubarts and Stella (Taylor) Pyles. He was a warehouse manager for East End Plumbing and a member of Parkland Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, brother, Jackie Rubarts; sister, Doris Bell; and nephew, Jerry Lee Burns.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 61 ½ years, Mary Ann (Bottom) Rubarts, children, Deanna Fremow (John) and Derek Rubarts (Penny); grandchildren, Paige (Kevin), Gigi, Sloane, and Heath; great-grandchildren, Easton, Savannah, Crew, and Banks; nephew, Rick Bell; nieces, Cyndi Hauser (Doug) and Jackie Sue Warren; great nephew and nieces, Christopher, Brittany, Sarah, and Emily (Brian); and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Bethlehem Cemetery in Russell Springs, KY.  Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday from 2-8 pm and Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
