Jo Anne Johnston

Jo Anne Johnston, age 88, of Brooks, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 12, 2023.   She was born in Louisville, KY on November 28, 1934, to the late Clarence Johnson and Evelyn Meadows Johnson.  She grew up in the old Highland Park neighborhood and was a graduate of DuPont Manual High School.

She was a retired homemaker, caretaker and was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church.

Besides her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Johnston; brothers, Keith Johnson, Robert Johnson and Norman Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, David Johnston (Mary); grandchildren, Colton Johnston, Jayce Johnston (Chrystal Glock) and Braden Johnston; great grandchild, Rosabella Marie and a host of other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday, March 20, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Monday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
