John M Cain

Mr. John M Cain, Jr., age 89, of Masonic Home returned to his Heavenly Father on November 12, 2024. Mr. Cain was born on September 29, 1935, in Straw, KY to the late John M, Sr. and Ida (Carroll) Cain. Mr. Cain retired from Budig Western Trucking Company. He was a mason with Masonic Lodge Cub Run #910 and a Shriner with Morocco Shriners. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, wife, Linda (Yocom) Cain; siblings, Hillard, Opal, Wardie, Dillard, and Bill; and several nieces and nephews.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Mark Cain, Troy Cain (Frances), and Jason L. Cain (Sara), and grandchildren, Logan, Jacob, Amelia, Gideon, Oliver, and Archer.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Friday, November 15, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1-8 pm and Friday from 9 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kosair Charities.
