John Lee Gray, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Louisville. He was born March 20, 1949, in Louisville, Mr. Gray was a self-employed electrician. He served his country in the Marine Corp from July 1969 until April 1971. He loved Nascar, vacations in Florida, boats and was a classic car enthusiast
John was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gracie “Beard” Gray; daughter, Amanda Ernspiker; grandson, Dallas Ernspiker; sister, Colleen Stratton.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Glenda; his daughter, Aimee Sunshine Linton (Shawn); sons, Brian Gray, Jason Dickens (Lisa) and Chris Dickens; brother, Charles Gray (Neah); grandchildren, Elijah, Karoline, Roman, Felicity, Jayson, Danny, Michael, Jessica, Brian, Brianna, Brittany and Sonya; and 12 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 12pm-8pm at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at John Harper Hwy). Graveside service and burial will be Friday at 2pm in Brookland Cemetery.
