John Washington Rayhill

John W. Rayhill, age 91, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on April 17, 2013. Mr. Rayhill was a master carpenter/builder and later a minister. Mr. Rayhill was a World War II Army veteran. Preceding him in death is his first wife, Charlene Lockard Rayhill. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Esther Ragland Rayhill; daughter, Peggy Wright (Bill); grandson, Travis Wright (Renee'); great-grandchildren, Elyse, Celeste and Ethan Wright; step-son, David Ragland (Melody); step-daughter, Cheri Ragland; step-granddaughter, Erin Bell (Jered); double first nephew and nieces, Danny Rayhill (Linda), Vicki Griffin, Candi May (Flavius); brothers, James Rayhill (Marie), Frank Barr (Shirley), Leo Barr (Naomi), Clarence Barr (Linda), Marshall Barr (Doris) and Marvin Barr (Gloria); sisters, Esther Beck, Bertha Mitchell (Ray) and Margaret Baker (Tommy).

Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Little Flock Baptist Church (5500 N. Preston Highway Shepherdsville, KY) with interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1-8 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) and Tuesday from 10 am until time of service at the church.
