Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents, Johnie and Doris Wilkerson and sisters, Barbara Mitchell and Carol Davenport.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Debra Ison Wilkerson; Sons, John Wilkerson Jr. (Sabrina), Christopher Wilkerson (Ina), William Wilkerson and Nickalis Wilkerson; grandchildren, Madison, Kendall, Jordan, Sebastian, Levi, Layla, MaCailah; brother, David Wilkerson (Jackie); sister, Debbie Gonzales (Angel).
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy and Brooks Rd) with visitation Thursday 2-8 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. until the time of service.
