Joseph Earl Kelley Jr., 94, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 14, 2016. Mr. Kelley was an Army Veteran, part of the 281st Engineer Combat Battalion and retired from Ashland Oil. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded by his parents, Joe and Florence Kelley; and brothers, Bill and Irvin Kelley. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 70 years, Mary Ruth Kelley; sons, John "Butch" Earl (Vicki), Anthony "Tony" Lee (Becky); five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Noon in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood, & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Hebron Cemetery.
