Joy Sue (Ross) Everett

Mrs. Joy Sue (Ross) Everett, age 78, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at home  on Sunday, November 5, 2023 around 11:30 am. Mrs. Everett was born in Louisville, KY on February 12, 1945 to the late Edward “Ed” Ross and Yonnie Ross.

In addition to her parents, her brother, Michael Ross preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard W. Everett; children, Bradley Everett (Gina) and Holly Gossman (Michael) and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 9, 2023 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

The family of Mrs. Everett would like to thank all of Mrs. Everett’s caregivers who have been so wonderful to her during this difficult time. They also want to thank the many people who have expressed concern and prayed for Joy and Richard. Thanks also to the very wonderful folks at Hosparus who cared for and blessed Joy and also cared for Richard who needed their specialized care and assistance very much. Thank you to the many doctors, therapists and many others in the Louisville medical community who compassionately cared for Joy. 

Thanks to the many angels God sent to help Joy and Richard, some male and some female. Thank you all very much!
