Juan Figueroa-Carrion

Mr. Juan Figueroa-Carrion, age 79, of Chicago, Illinois returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 16, 2019. He was born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico on July 12, 1939 to the late Hilario Figueroa and Ricarda Carrion.  Mr. Figueroa-Carrion was a screw machine operator for Appleton Electric in Chicago, Illinois. Later he moved to Clarksville, Indiana where he became a member of First Southern Baptist Church. Mr. Figueroa-Carrion loved music and his family dearly.  His grandchildren and his entire family were his therapy.  He will be dearly missed.  

Among those who preceded him in death are his parents; his wife, Esther Figueroa; and his children, Andres Figueroa, William Figueroa and Ricarda Figueroa Edison.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Juan Figueroa, Jr., Samuel Figueroa and Virginia Summarell (Justin); many grandchildren, great grandchildren; sister, Maria; two brothers, Frank and Lume; and several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:00 am at First Southern Baptist Church, 215 E. Ettels Ln. Clarksville, Indiana with burial to follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery (2421 Hamburgpike, Jeffersonville, Indiana). Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, (4895 N. Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.).
