Judy LaVerne Thomas

Mrs. Judy LaVerne (Manion) Thomas, age 64, of Shepherdsville returned to her Heavenly Father on June 19, 2020. Mrs. Thomas was born on February 24, 1956 in Louisville, KY to the late Carlie and Inez (Whitledge) Manion. Mrs. Thomas worked in the mortgage department at L&N Federal Credit Union, and the lunchroom at Pleasant Grove and Overdale Elementary Schools. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a graduate of Bullitt Central High School.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 39 years, Tommy Thomas; children, Josh Thomas (Tara Jo), Nicole McCoy (Michael) and Tara McCawley (Brian); grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Kylie, Landon, Jackson and Morgan; brothers, Adrian Manion (Judy) and Benny Manion (Sue); and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Wednesday, June 24, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Drive) with interment in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 12 pm until 8 pm and on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
