Katherine P. Hug, age 68, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 19, 1957, to the late Bill and Marjorie Pearse. Katherine was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Her family was the center of her universe. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, gardening, playing bingo, and swimming in her backyard oasis. Katherine brought light, laughter, and warmth to every moment. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary “Louis” Hug Jr. (Amber) and Logan Hug; grandchildren, Ava Hug, Kayden Hug, and Braxton Hug; siblings, Bill Pearse and Nina Pearse; along with many other family and friends.
The family of Katherine P. Hug has decided to honor her wishes of direct cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hosparus Health (6200 Dutchmans Lane Louisville, KY 40205).
