Kathleen Self

Mrs. Kathleen (Miller) Self, age 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 11, 2023. She was born on December 10, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Self had the most important job, being a loving mother and wife. She was Christian by faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Murell Miller and Myrl (Ballard) Miller; brothers, Earl Nelson, Jimmy Miller, Phillip Miller, and Kevin Miller.

Above all else, Kathleen loved and cherished her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed gardening when she could along with working puzzles. One of her favorite things to do were socializing with people and making sure they had a friend. Kathleen loved going on drives to look at the scenery, and also to go on vacation. She will deeply be missed by her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 50 years, Donald Self, Sr.; son, Donald “Donnie” Self, Jr. (Marsha); daughters, Karen Lynn Norris (Steven), Julie Morris (Alan), Rachel Clinger; grandchildren, Reece Norris, Levi Self, Isaac Self, Ellsie Clinger, Tate Norris, Grayson Morris, Bearrett Clinger, Jackson Morris; sister, Kristine Hawkins; brothers, Michael Miller, Kent Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 17, 2023 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home Mt. Washington (Hwy 44 E at 123 Winning Colors Dr) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Garden. Family and friends may pay their respect on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and again Friday from 10:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm.
