Kathryn "Kathy" Lynn Childress Collins

Kathryn “Kathy” Lynn Collins, age 65, of Hillview, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 17, 2022.   She was born on October 26, 1957 to the late Emory Mills Childress and Patricia Ann Lyons Childress.

She was a homemaker and loved spending time at the Green River Lake State Park.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Holland and two brothers, James D. Childress and Mark Childress.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Mark E. Collins, a daughter, Angela Collins; a son, Scott Collins; two brothers, John Childress (Billie) and Tony Childress (Dorothy) , a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends including her caregiver, Becky Sexton.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at chapel of the Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, Ky) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 1 pm until 8 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 9 am until the time of service.
