Mr. Keith Anthony Richardson

Mr. Keith A. Richardson, age 95, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Mr. Richardson was born in Louisville, KY on February 3, 1931 to the late Elsie and Roy Richardson. He attended Flaget High School and had worked in various fields over his lifetime including: The United States Air Force, Louisville Police Department, and Turner Expediting Service, to name a few.

He fell in love with a young woman he had met on a blind date in 1957. He knew that she was the one and made her his bride on September 26, 1959. Their strong love and devotion carried them until his wife, Mary Richardson, passed away on January 29, 2018 after 58½ years of marriage.

Keith lived life to its fullest in a multitude of activities that include: biking, boating, camping, canoeing, fishing, flying, golfing and skiing. His great joy was spending time with his beloved family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his seven children, Rhona Coyle (Tony), Mark Richardson (Mitzi), Nita Schroeder (Chuck), Erik Richardson (Cheryl), Anne Richardson, Aaron Richardson, and Janel McDonald (Keith); seven grandchildren, Angela Hardin, Charles Schroeder, David Schroeder, Emily Richardson, Katie Schroeder (Shaun), Dalton Richardson, and Mason McDonald; twelve great-grandchildren, Anakin Hardin, Bennett Hardin, Elphaba Hardin, Anna Schroeder, Elena Schroeder, Isabella Schroeder, Jonathan Schroeder, Praise Schroeder, Kai Schroeder, Maeve Schroeder and Finnegan and Noah O’ Connor and a host of dear family and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Friday, October 23, 2026 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville). Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of his service at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
