Mr. Kenneth Wayne Dawes, Sr., age 80, of Hillview, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Mr. Dawes was born November 7, 1940 in Louisville, KY to the late Roy Edward Dawes and Alma (Hogan) Dawes. Mr. Dawes was a member of Maryville Baptist Church, he worked for Belknap Hardware for 25 plus years, and retired from Stouts Hardware in Mt. Washington. Among those that preceded him in death are his brother, William E. Dawes; and two grandsons, Josh and Jacob Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Peggy Ann (Hutchins) Dawes; his sons, Wayne Dawes (Debbie), Mike Dawes (Jenny); daughter, Debbie Williams (Phil); grandchildren, Jonathan, Benjamin, Bethany (Brian), Hannah (Michael), and Rachel (Justin); great-grandchild, Alayna; and brother, Donald G. Dawes (Pat).
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home, (4895 N. Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment to follow at Bardstown City Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 12:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
