Kenny Ray Banks

Mr. Kenny Ray Banks, age 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father Sunday, September 21, 2025. Mr. Banks was born November 14, 1953, in Cumberland Kentucky, to Ellis and Evileen “Fields” Banks. Kenneth was an amazing father and Grandfather to his family. Kenny was a retired coal miner. He was a hardworking man and instilled that in his sons. Kenny loved spending time and making memories with his family and friends. He was a member of UMWA (United Mine Workers of America) and a member of Lynch Church of God. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Among those who preceded him in death is his parents; wife, Pam Banks; and granddaughter, Alex. He leaves to cherish his children, Troy (Tabatha), Travis (Jill) and Roger (Mandy); grandchildren, Gavin, Jordan, Carter, Mallory, Daniel, Matthew and Kelsey; siblings, Jerry Banks, Wayne Banks and Diane Brown; bonus kids; The Garner Family; lifelong friend, Janet Polson; mother to Kenny’s sons, Phyllis Vincent; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington, Kentucky.) with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. There will be a graveside memorial at a later date.
