Kevin Michael Bickett, 51, passed away at his home in Shepherdsville on Friday, April 24, 2026. Born in Louisville on June 12, 1974, Kevin was a man whose life was defined by the people he loved and the roots he grew in his community. While he spent years establishing a successful career, he was most at home when he was with his family or on the sidelines coaching his kids in youth sports.
For 24 years, Kevin was a leader and mentor at American Fuji Seal. He was known for his analytical mind, often relying on data and a methodical approach to solve problems and keep operations running smoothly. While he was known for his professional commitment, his heart belonged to his life outside of work. He loved his family time when camping at the lake or beach. As a sports enthusiast, he participated in multiple fantasy football leagues and supported his Kentucky Wildcats and Dallas Cowboys.
Kevin combined the love of his children and his passion for sports to make a lasting impact on the court as the founder of Bullitts Basketball and a coach for the Lady Xtreme. This dedication extended to local recreational leagues, where he remained a steady fixture on the sidelines, coaching and mentoring kids for years.
Despite his many interests, nothing mattered more to Kevin than his family. Above all else, his world centered on his children; Calvin and Cami were his absolute pride and joy. He was a deeply devoted and loving husband to Teresa, always putting the needs of his family first and working hard to provide a life full of memories for them. Kevin was a steadfast son who shared a special closeness with his mother, Donna, serving as a source of strength and joy. He shared an unbreakable bond with his brother, Kerry; they were more than brothers, they were friends. To his many nieces and nephews, he was the uncle known for the quick wit and easy laugh that kept the whole family smiling.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Paul Joseph Bickett.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Ann Bickett; his children, Calvin Joseph and Cami Ann; his mother, Donna Bickett; his brother, Kerry Bickett (Karen); and his sister-in-law, Connie Daugherty (Lee). He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews - Makayla, Avery, Blake, Cayden, Morgan, and Logan - and his furry best friend and child, Biscuit, and the feisty furry child, Gravy (Kit Kat).
In honor of Kevin’s love for the game, the family invites friends and guests to wear Kentucky Wildcats or Dallas Cowboys attire to the services.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on Thursday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Burial will follow at Brookland Cemetery.
In memory of Kevin, the family suggests donations to the Ronald McDonald House of Cincinnati.
