Kevin Lee McDaniel

Kevin Lee McDaniel, age 54, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, January 2, 2026. He was born on November 17, 1971, in Louisville, Kentucky. Kevin was a member of Valley View Church where he was baptized on April 27, 2025, and was also an avid UofK fan. He was an even-tempered, simple man who always spoke his mind. His hardworking, trustworthy, and caring nature was treasured by all those who knew and loved him. Family and friends could always rely on Kevin for help, be it night or day. He was the best dad and brother anyone could ever want. His true passion was his family; spending time with his son, Craig, is what Kevin held most dear to his heart. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel (Renn) McDaniel and his brother, Adam McQuilling.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Craig Ziegler (Cortney); siblings, Rob McDaniel, Anita Scott, Lamont Thompson (Sara), Deanna McQuilling, Jeffery McDaniel, Jim McDaniel (Sandy), John McDaniel (Teresa), MaRi Renn, George McQuilling, Mike McQuilling, Jason McQuilling; close friend, Gary Morris and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
