Larry Franklin Driskell, Sr.

Mr. Larry Franklin Driskell, Sr., age 78, of Shepherdsville, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, in Louisville. He was born in Breckinridge County, KY on January 5, 1944, to the late Wallace Clay Driskell and Rachel Mildred Simmons Driskell.

He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church.  He was a Navy veteran having served in the Vietnam War and was retired from General Electric.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Patricia Mattingly Driskell; children, Larry Driskell, Jr., Marty Driskell (Lori) and Jennifer Driskell (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Brady Driskell, Alec Driskell, LeAnn Hornback and Trey Hornback; siblings, Wally Driskell (Sandy) and Jimmy Driskell (Gloria); great nieces, Avah Kelley, Maddy Kelley and Jolie Kelley; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by several siblings, Venus Driskell, David Driskell, Dale Driskell, Oretha Driskell, Linda Young, Donald Driskell and William Driskell.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home 4895 N. Preston Hwy Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165.  Friends and Family may pay their respects on Monday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) and on Tuesday from noon until the time of service at 2:00 pm.
