Laura Evelyn Phillips

Mrs. Laura Evelyn Phillips, age 86, of Louisville returned to her Heavenly Father on October 8, 2015. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and a founding member of Salvation Temple where she ministered many people to the Lord. Mrs. Phillips was a universal blood donor and over the course of her life donated over 12 gallons of blood to help others. Among those that preceded her in death include her parents, Ollie and Amelia Gahafer Cravens; husband, Leonard Phillips; and son, Ollie Mason Phillips, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Amelia Cox (Bobby); grandchildren, Sherry Phillips, Anthony Cox, Ollie Phillips, Jr. and Charles Phillips; great-granddaughters, Isaiah and Makayla Phillips; sister, Gloria Faye Parker (Roy); daughter-in-law, Delores Phillips; very close friends, Judy Metcalf and Wayne Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway) with interment in Smithfield Cemetery in Henry County. Friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 2-8 pm and Sunday from 9 am until time of service at Schoppenhorst. www.subfuneralhome.com
