Lester Smith, age 74, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 16, 2025. He was born July 22, 1951 to the late Grover and Aremildie Smith in Clay Co., Kentucky. He was of the Christian faith and retired from Carrier Vibrating Equipment. Lester was preceded in death by his parents.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Paula Smith; children, Brenda O’Bryan (David) and son, Tommy Smith (Dolly); two brothers, Earl Smith (Alice) and Eugene Smith; sister, Wilma Jean Caudill (Louis); four granddaughters, Courtney, Avery, Shauntel and Krystal; three grandsons, Tyler, Aiden, Christopher; four great grandchildren, Sawyer, Leo, Theodore and Elleri; and a host of family and friends. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial in Evergreen cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 10 am until time of service.
