Linda Elaine Porter

Linda Elaine Porter, age 64, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 21, 2024.   She was born on September 2, 1960 in Louisville, KY. to the late Robert Lee and Margaret M. “Friess” Walters. She was a Catholic by faith and a retired employee from Ford Motor Company. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Donnie and Paul Walters. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 24 years, David Porter; two sisters, Diane Helm (Charlie) and Susie Muss; brother, Jimmy Walters (Judy); nephew, Rob Haze (Taylor); niece, Amanda Walters (Sam) and Lakeisha Heath (Joe); fur babies, Maggie Mae, Buddy, Micky “D” and Kitty; and a host of family and friends. A funeral service will be at 10 am, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 pm until 8 pm on Friday and on Saturday 9 am until time of service. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
