Mrs. Loretta Rose Lloyd

Mrs. Loretta Rose Lloyd, age 87, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, with her family by her side. Loretta was born in Corbin, Kentucky, on March 18, 1939, to the late William Rose and Orena Rose. She was a member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Church (formerly Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle). Loretta worked and retired from General Electric after 20 plus years of service. She enjoyed spending days shopping, crocheting, cooking and she loved baking. She also loved to read her Bible, enjoying time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that brought her great joy. Loretta will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband of 43 years Thurman Jethro Lloyd, her son David Parrish, her 3 sisters Lorene Moore, Pat Mull, Mildred Arrasmith, 1 brother Gene Rose.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Missie Burba (Jerry), her son Ronnie Parrish, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at (Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home 4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in the chapel at the Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery behind the funeral home.
