

Lucy Beatrice Garcia Robles, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, lost her battle with cancer on November 16, 2014. Born in San Antonio, Texas on February 15, 1928, she lived most of her life in Texas City, Texas and moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 2005 to be closer to family.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sonya Cotton and Velda Schalk of Louisville, KY and Lisa Jordan (Scott) of Bend, OR; her five grandchildren, Craig Cotton (Tammy) and Carly Cotton of Louisville, KY; Tara Jordan of Bend, OR; Kevin Jordan of Portland, OR, and Christopher Schalk of San Antonio, TX; five great-grandchildren, Tori Jude of Mt. Sterling, KY, Grant Jordan of Bend, OR, and Ethan, Nolan and Will Cotton of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Gene, whom she was married to for 62 years and lost on August 12, 2013. Lucy is also preceded in death by her parents, Teodoro Garcia and Ignacia Zertuche Garcia, her brothers, Joe Efren, Mario, Ramiro and Elias, and her sister, Olivia.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Cotton and Craig Cotton of Louisville, KY, Ron Schalk and Christopher Schalk of San Antonio, TX, Scott Jordan of Bend, OR, and Kevin Jordan or Portland, OR. Honorary Pallbearers will be Adolph Robles of Victoria, TX, Roger Valdez or Santa Fe, TX and Richard Rodriguez of Texas City, TX.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Carnes Funeral Homes at 3100 Gulf Freeway in Texas City. Funeral services will be at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City on Saturday at 12 Noon with the Rev. Tom Ponzini officiating. Lucy will be laid to rest at Mt.
