Margaret Ann Simpson

Mrs. Simpson was born January 9, 1941 in Evarts, Kentucky and was a retired school teacher. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Oneonta in New York and attended Renewed Christian Fellowship.

Among those who preceded her in death include her parents, John and Thelma Posey Madden; 1st husband, Chester Freeman; 2nd husband, Bill Murphy; siblings, Tony Madden and Phyllis Barnett.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Robert Simpson; children, Kathy Lane (Jim), Kelly Freeman (Millie), Bill Freeman and Ken Freeman (Maureen); granddaughter, Stephanie Freeman; several great grandchildren; brother, Verlan Madden and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Saturday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd; use John Harper entrance). Friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 4:00 pm until the time of service at Schoppenhorst.
