Marie Jean Carnes

Marie Jean Carnes, age 66, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Marie was born on July 2, 1954 in Louisville, KY to the late Glenn and Emogene Bailey.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Bailey.

Marie was a beloved wife, mother and mamaw. She enjoyed the outdoors and hiking.  She had a passion for her family, gardening and hot rods.

Marie’s memory will live on through her husband of 48 years, Eddie Carnes; son, Jason Carnes and his wife, Missy; grandchildren, Emily and Jackson Carnes and a host of other dear family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville, KY 40165) with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 11 a. m. until 6 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be given to the ALS Association, KY Chapter.
