Marilyn Browning

Marilyn Sue Browning, age 84, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, September 28, 2026. She was born on February 25, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late George and Hattie Mae (Jones) Young. Marilyn was the heart of her family and the life of the party. She loved Bingo and her Pepsi and took her greatest pride in watching the family she helped build grow. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Browning; sons, Thomas Stewart and Kevin Stewart and her sister, Joyce Campbell.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughters, Theresea Stewart and Katrina LaFavers (Herb); granddaughter and caregiver, Maria Vibert (Dylan); 10 additional grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Phyllis Bryant, Carol Cockerel, Bonnie Ewell, Janet McKay (Kevin), James Young (Carol) and Terry Young (Jackie); daughters-in-law, Amber Nelson (John) and Gloria Stewart; son-in-law, Eric Browning (Nikki) and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 7:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
