Martha Carol Armstrong

Mrs. Martha Carol Armstrong, age 83, of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father Monday, December 5, 2022. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday, December 18, 1938, to the late William and Marie Reinhart. She is also preceded in death by her late husband, Garland “Bud” Armstrong; her brothers, William Reinhart, Oscar “Ricky” Reinhart and Sonny Reinhart; her sisters, JoAnn Reinhart and Jean Vitzenty; her granddaughters, Jennifer Gerwitz and Lindsey Armstrong; along with a great grandsons, Caleb Berry and Blake Palmer.

She was a Catholic by faith and a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Martha loved chocolate, cooking and time with her family and grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Raymond Simon, Wayne Simon (Kara), Paula Floyd (Wayne), Allen Simon (Renea), Russell Simon (Karen), John Simon, Maria Eaton (John) and Angela Beard (Charles); her plus 4, Kevin Armstrong (Michelle), Kim Gordon, Kara Simon and Kay Waller (Steve); along with 27 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10am on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at St. Rita Catholic Church (8709 Preston Highway Louisville) with burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 3pm until 8pm at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 North Preston Highway Shepherdsville).
