Marvin L. Ramsey

Marvin Lee Ramsey, Jr., age 65, of Lanesville, Indiana returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 20, 2025. He was born on November 10, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Marvin Lee Ramsey, Sr. and Mary Jo (Hanks) Sexton.

Marvin spent his adult life working at BASF and ultimately retiring, proudly following in his dad’s footsteps. Marvin’s interests included politics, music, his cats, NASCAR, fishing and most importantly, spending time having fun with his family and friends. He loved his life-partner, Lynn, whom he met in high school and cherished and adored her for years. His big smile and loving nature will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Diana “Lynn” Ramsey and Kelly Jo McDermott.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Stevon Lee Ramsey (Crystal); devoted life-partner, Frances “Lynn” Freeman; grandson, Landon; sister, Deborah Ann Hagan; stepfather, Johnny Sexton as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10:00 am in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Road). Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 3:00 until 8:00 and on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 9:00 until the time of service at the funeral home.
