Mary Helen Burton

Helen Burton age 76 was born August 8, 1937 and returned to her Heavenly father October 21, 2013. Mrs. Burton was a member of Saint Athanasius Catholic Church, Saint Vincent DePaul Society and Al-anon.

Among those who preceded her in death include her parents, Robert Hightower and Virginia Wallace Hunt; husband, Thurmon Burton and a son, Stephen Burton.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Debra Sheehan (David) and Angela Fowler (Tony); brother, Lawrence Hunt; grandchildren, Melissa, Amy, Andrew, Stevie and Stephanie; 3 great grandchildren, a host of other family and friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 A.M. Friday at Saint Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop with interment in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 12 P.M. until 8 P.M. Thursday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road).
