Mary Margaret Gipson

Mrs. Mary “Margaret” Gipson, age 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on July 11, 2026, with her family by her side. Margaret was born in Hart County, Kentucky, on August 21, 1956, to the late Richard Clinton Logsdon, and Eva Lucille (Hayes) Sexton. She was a retired manager for Graphic Packaging and was a very proud member of Local Union # 89. Margaret was a loving and caring mother, sister, and grandmother; family meant the world to her. Margaret will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents, her husband Paul Gipson, brothers Sherman W. Logsdon, and Gerald Ray Logsdon.

Margaret is survived by the love of her life her son Tony Curry, stepdaughter Tracy Gipson, her siblings Charles Clinton Logsdon, Darrell Wayne Logsdon (Judy), and Brenda Loreen Quint (Ernie), step-Granddaughter Amber N. Gipson, 3 Step-Great-Grandchildren Caden B. Frost, Hollyn S. Serrano, Manuel S. Alfaro, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway). Visitation will take place Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. again Monday, July 20, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
