Mary Lavonne Hagan (Hutchins)

Mrs. Mary Lavonne Hagan (Hutchins), age 95, of Louisville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Loretto, KY on May 5, 1926 to the late Ostum Hutchins and Praxie Ballard.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, a rosary maker and eucharistic minister at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Okolona.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her beloved husband, Thomas Wesley Hagan; son, Thomas Wayne Hagan; brothers, Jasper (Buster) Hutchins, Kenneth (Big Boy) Hutchins, Louis Hutchins, Randall Hutchins and Bill Hutchins.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Chris Hagan (Cheri), Diane Schmidt, Gary Hagan (Debbie), June Briney (Don), Glenn Hagan (Lisa) and Vicki Wright (David); many treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Scharre and Corrine Yates; brother, Ronnie Hutchins and a host of other dear family and friends.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.)

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (4211 Jim Hawkins Dr., Louisville, KY) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
