Mary "Kay" Catherine Horne

Mrs. Mary “Kay” Catherine Horne, age 78, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 9, 2022. She was born on Wednesday, June 21, 1944, in Madisonville, Kentucky, to the late William and Ruby Laffoon. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and crime shows. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Horne and her siblings, BD, Leon, Bill and Jane.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Christina Beckum (Jerry) and Chaney Check (Lisa); her grandchildren, DJ, Amelia, Abbie, Kelsey, Paige and Logan; several great grandchildren; along with a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2pm Friday, July 15, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 5pm until 8pm and on Friday 10am until time of service.
