Mary "Sis" Ruth Kelley

Mrs. Mary Ruth “Sis” (Legel) Kelley, age 93, of Shepherdsville, Ky returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Mrs. Kelley was born on April 2, 1928 in Louisville to the late Mary Emma (Emmons) and Gus W. Legel. Mrs. Kelley retired from Audubon Hospital after 30 years of service as an LPN. Among those that preceded her in death are her parents; husband, Joseph Earl Kelley, Jr.; and brothers, Bob, Bill and Henry Legel.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, John “Butch” Earl (Vicki) and Anthony “Tony” Lee (Becky) Kelley; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) interment at Hebron Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
