Mattie Lee Rush Brown

Ms. Mattie Lee Rush Brown, age 94, of Okolona returned to her Heavenly Father on June 23, 2017. Ms. Brown had worked as a sales clerk for Wal-Mart and was a member of Okolona Christian Church. Among those that preceded her in death include her parents, Robert and Augusta McCoy Rush; and siblings, Evelyn Mullins, Eldridge, Hubert and Rodney Rush. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Michael Brown (Penny), Deborah Colvin (John) and Wayne Brown; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Marjorie Chapman.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 2-8 pm at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Okolona Christian Church. www.subfuneralhome.com
