Maurice Combs, age 86, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. He was born December 17, 1938 to the late Roy and Dana Combs in Hazard, Kentucky. He was a member of Overdale Global Methodist Church and a self-employed Taxidermist. Maurice was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jackie Pigman.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Martha Combs; children, Lisa Ann Rogers (Tony), Julie Derr (Damon), and Matt Combs (CJ); 8 grandchildren, Anthony, Jacob, Christian, Bradley, Leah, Benjamin, Emily and Paige; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
The funeral service will be at 12 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 3 pm until 8 pm and Wednesday 10 am until time of service.
