Michael James Alvey

Mr. Michael James Alvey, age 60, of Louisville returned to his Heavenly Father on June 24, 2015. Mr. Alvey was a truck driver and a Catholic by faith. Among those that preceded him in death include his father, Owen Alvey. He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Jason (Jenny), Shayne (Shelly) and Josh (Shaina) Alvey; grandchildren, Ella, Payton, Mollie, Bice and Colton; mother, Mary Lois Bryant (Phillip); brothers, Dennis (Gisele) Alvey and Nathan Bryant; sister, Joann Leet; nephews, Dennis Alvey, Jr., Josef (Angie) Woods, Jordan Woods and Tony Bryant; great-nephew, Dylan Alvey; mother of his children, Teresa Jones; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 7:30 pm on Monday, June 29, 2015 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road; use John Harper entrance) with cremation to follow.
