Mr. Michael Lewis Jennette, age 79, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 26,2026. He was born to William and Ruby Jennette on February 28, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Jennette is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steven Jennette.
Michael never met a stranger and he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed one. He loved fishing and most importantly his grandchildren. Michael was a family man cherishing every minute with his loved ones. He served in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. Michael was the vice president of the HOA in his neighborhood and proud of it.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Chong Jennette; children, Katherin Bowman (Rodney), Jason Jennette; grandchildren, Jonathon Bowman (Kim), Ashley Bowman, Maddie Bowman; great grandchildren, Lucas Bowman and Sarah Bowman; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, October 4, 2026 from 2:00pm until 7:00 pm and again on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
