Michael Likens

Mr. Michael Raymond Likens, age 64, of Brooks Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on February 21, 2026, with his family by his side. Michael was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on February 23, 1961, to the late Raymond Lee Likens and Frances Sue (Gibson) Likens.

A proud United States Marine, he served his country with honor, a title he carried with the values of strength, loyalty, and dedication throughout his life. He retired from K-I as a millworker for many years, he and his wife Rebecca were Foster Parents for 9 years having helped with over 65 children in their home. He enjoyed going to Louisville Cardinal games, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, and spending time with his family especially his grandson. He was a loving and devoted husband, dad, and Papa. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 40 years Rebecca Likens, son Mikey Likens (Brooke), Mariah Carrico (Brad), Brianna Likens, Isaiah Likens, Miguel Likens, grandchildren Everett Carrico, and Jackson Likens, brother Brian Likens (Annette), sister Deborah Jackson (Martin), along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at John Harper Freeway). A Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday March 3, 2026, in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
