Michael Dean Owen

Mr. Michael Dean Owen, age 77, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, November 3, 2025. Mr. Owen was born in Louisville, KY on May 13, 1948 to the late W.C. Owen and Mary Rose Warner Artis. He retired from Philip Morris and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Mary Rosina Owen; son, Lee Donovan Owen and his brother, Donald Gene Owen preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister, Diana Sledge; brothers, Phillip Ray Owen and Gary Wayne Owen; niece, Theresa Tindal (Ronnie) and a host of other dear nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
