Mr. Michael Ray Owens, Sr., age 76, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father on February 11, 2022. Mr. Owens was born on July 24, 1945, in Lexington, KY to the late Walter and Mary (Stewart) Owens. Mr. Owens worked as a butcher for Kroger and in maintenance at AmeriSource and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, and siblings, Walter, Jr., Fred, Bo, Harold, Mary Catherine, and John Dale.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 56 years, Connie (Christison) Owens; sons, Michael Owens, Jr. (Tammy) and Jeff Owens (Paige); grandchildren, Mary, Michael III, Emma, Hannah, and Liam Eugene; and sisters, Mildred, Shirley, and Barbara Jean.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 3-5 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with cremation to follow. www.subfuneralhome.com
