Nancy Jean Bowman

Nancy Jean Bowman, age 84 of Okolona, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, September 23, 2024. She was born on July 24, 1940, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Edward J. and Bertha (Akins) Troesch. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Nancy was a devoted wife and mother. She loved car shows and spending time with her family at Nolin Lake. She also had a love for animals, where she was always feeding neighborhood cats and squirrels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Bowman; brother, Charlie Troesch and sister, Betty Troesch.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her children, Donna Robbins (Raymond), Gary Bowman (Audrey), Doug Bowman (Sherrie), Karen Gaw (Tracy) and Donnie Bowman (Sherrie); grandchildren, Jason, Erin (Kevin), Kori (Jeremy), Kasey (Chuck), Brandon (Ashleigh), McKenzie (Garrett), Jodi (Andy), Jordan (Coty) and Shelby (David); 23 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 pm on Monday, September 30, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 9 am until the time of service at the funeral home
