Mr. Nicholas Dukes

Nicholas Andrew “Nick” Dukes, age 39, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 20, 2026. He was born on October 24, 1986, in Louisville, Kentucky to William Jeffrey and Catherine (Fowler) Dukes. Nick was “happy go lucky” and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a jokester who especially loved “dad jokes”. He loved cooking and could take a recipe and make it even better. Nick enjoyed working out and playing his computer games. He also enjoyed cars, his fur-babies and visiting gun ranges. His true passion, however, was his family; spending time with them and making memories is what he held most dear to his heart. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud and Jackie Fowler and Marvin and Becky Dukes.

He leaves to honor and cherish his memory his beloved wife, Brittany Dukes; daughter, Raelyn Dukes; bonus-daughters, Elizabeth and Gabriella Abney; parents, William and Catherine Dukes; brother, Jason Dukes; sister, Natalie Dukes; nieces and nephews, Lexi, Lucas and Levi; father and mother in-laws, Charles and Sheryl Case and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
