Mrs. Ola “Frances” Minton, age 92 returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. She was born on May 18, 1934, in Edmondson County, Kentucky. She was a member of Independent Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claudie and Millie Ann (Kinser) Coates, her loving husband of 72 years Willie Minton and her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda McDonald (Bruce); her grandchildren, Wendi Clark (Brian) and Crystal Raney, her great- grandchildren, Jarrett Clark (Taylor), Brookelyn Borders (Nolan), Madison Raney (Micah) and Mason Raney; her great-great grandchildren, Waylon, Willow, Easton, Luke and Lainey; her brother-in-law, Wayne Minton; her sister- in- law, Corean Minton; her dear neighbors, Chuck and Bev Compton, along with a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends and family.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy) with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial West. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 2 pm till 8 pm and on Tuesday from 9am till time of service at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made in Frances honor to the Nortons Cancer Institute.
