Patricia Gail Burton

Mrs. Patricia Gail Burton, age 86, of Shepherdsville, Ky passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in Russell Springs, Kentucky on December 28, 1938, to the late George Dewey Dixon and Mary (Blakey) Dixon. Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, and mother to her two children, and her fur babies also Smokey and Buffy who gave her tremendous joy. Her career took her to several places in her life, one being Jim Beam Distilleries where she did billing and accounting, and South-Central Bell where she was a phone operator. She was Baptist by Faith, and she enjoyed gospel singings, spending time at her Lake Houses, at Rough River and Nolin Lake. Patricia also enjoyed traveling with Toby Tours, and it was said that Patricia was an amazing country cook. She also loved spending time with her family, neighbors, and friends.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and late husband Clem Burton Jr., brother Herlon Dixon. 

She is survived by her son George “Doug” Burton, daughter Kimberly Renee Burton (Kevin), along with cousins and other dear family and friends.

A Funeral service will be held on Friday June 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). The visitation will be held on Thursday June 12, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Final interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. The Family of Patricia Burton would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to Traditions of Beaumont, Caregivers, and Hosparus for the kindness shown to their mother.
